Robotic Laser Hardening System for Special-shaped Workpiece

The laser quenching head is adopted, which has high heating and cooling speed, short process cycle, no need for external quenching medium, small workpiece deformation, clean working environment, no need for finishing such as gear grinding after treatment, and the size of the treated gear is not limited by the size of the heat treatment equipment

Advantage

Laser quenching is a clean and fast quenching process with high power density, fast cooling speed and no need for cooling media such as water or oil. Compared with induction quenching, flame quenching and carburizing quenching processes, laser quenching has uniform hardening layer, high hardness (generally 1-3 HRC higher than induction quenching), small workpiece deformation, easy control of heating layer depth and heating track, and easy to realize automation. It is not necessary to design corresponding induction coils according to different part sizes as induction quenching, The processing of large parts does not need to be limited by the furnace size during chemical heat treatment such as carburizing and quenching, so it is gradually replacing the traditional processes such as induction hardening and chemical heat treatment in many industrial fields. Especially important is that the deformation of the workpiece before and after laser quenching can be almost ignored, so it is especially suitable for surface hardening of parts with high precision requirements.
